Remote Lead Software Engineer (Customer Enablement)

Description:

• Allergan Data Labs is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their team focused on transforming the Allergan Aesthetics beauty business at AbbVie.
• The Lead Engineer will manage, lead, and mentor a team of Backend and Frontend Engineers to deliver high-quality, secure, reusable, elegant, and scalable code.
• Responsibilities include elevating engineering quality, conceptualizing and executing technical approaches, and building the Data Labs engineering brand through various initiatives.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in developing production-grade applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, building and scaling APIs with GraphQL, Apollo, and REST, and working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Additionally, experience with front-end frameworks like React and NextJS, mobile applications using React Native or Native for iOS and Android, cloud-native architectures in AWS, infrastructure as code using Terraform, Consul, CI/CD, and setting up various test suites is required.
• The Lead Engineer should have worked in cross-functional Agile Scrum teams, possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and hold a BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Architect, with 4+ years of experience leading teams and mentoring directly.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, GraphQL, Apollo, REST, SQL, NoSQL databases, React, NextJS, React Native, AWS, Serverless/Lambda, Kubernetes, Terraform, Consul, CI/CD, and test suite setup.
• Experience in cross-functional Agile Scrum teams, excellent communication skills, and a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
