Description:

Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for their GenAI team in Portugal.
The GenAI team focuses on leveraging advanced AI technologies to personalize user experiences, streamline operations, and optimize resources.
The role involves working on generative AI development, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLMs fine-tuning, and API integrations.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing generative AI applications, optimizing RAG systems, developing APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The Lead Software Engineer will contribute to the mission of inspiring and empowering others by prioritizing wellbeing in the workplace.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, Java, C, or C++.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies and API development.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities in English and Portuguese.
Ability to work on high scalable and distributed projects, adapt to new technologies quickly, and lead by example.
Prior experience in software engineering and AI is mandatory.
