Remote Lead Software Engineer (Integration)

Description:

• Allergan Data Labs is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their team, which is focused on transforming the Allergan Aesthetics beauty business at AbbVie.
• The team has launched an innovative technology platform, Allē, which serves millions of consumers and thousands of aesthetics providers.
• The Lead Software Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering, Platform, and collaborate with key stakeholders to solve technical problems.
• Responsibilities include championing code quality, conducting architecture and code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring other software engineers.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience as a Back End Software Engineer or hands-on Architect.
• Proficiency in developing production-grade applications and micro-services using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js is required.
• Experience in building and scaling APIs with REST and GraphQL is necessary.
• Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture utilizing Kafka and SQS/SNS is essential.
• Candidates should be proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Experience with front-end libraries and frameworks like React, NextJS, and Remix is required.
• Proficiency in building cloud-native architectures in AWS, including Kubernetes and Lambda, is necessary.
• Understanding of infrastructure as code using Terraform and other tools is required.
• Candidates must have experience setting up successful test suites for various types of tests.
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile Scrum teams is essential.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and white-boarding skills are required.
• A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable experience, is necessary.
