Description:
Allergan Data Labs is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their team, which is focused on transforming the Allergan Aesthetics beauty business at AbbVie.
The team has launched an innovative technology platform, Allē, which serves millions of consumers and thousands of aesthetics providers.
The Lead Software Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering, Platform, and collaborate with key stakeholders to solve technical problems.
Responsibilities include championing code quality, conducting architecture and code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring other software engineers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience as a Back End Software Engineer or hands-on Architect.
Proficiency in developing production-grade applications and micro-services using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js is required.
Experience in building and scaling APIs with REST and GraphQL is necessary.
Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture utilizing Kafka and SQS/SNS is essential.
Candidates should be proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
Experience with front-end libraries and frameworks like React, NextJS, and Remix is required.
Proficiency in building cloud-native architectures in AWS, including Kubernetes and Lambda, is necessary.
Understanding of infrastructure as code using Terraform and other tools is required.
Candidates must have experience setting up successful test suites for various types of tests.
Experience working in cross-functional Agile Scrum teams is essential.
Excellent communication, presentation, and white-boarding skills are required.
A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable experience, is necessary.
