Workana is the largest remote work platform for talents in Latin America, focusing on matching exceptional professionals with leading companies globally.
The client is a major multimedia company in Latin America that is developing an AI-based solution to generate high-quality content and improve efficiency.
The role is for a senior backend developer with strong experience in Python and API development.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services, integrating with LLMs, creating and optimizing RESTful APIs, working with databases, implementing security best practices, collaborating with frontend teams, and mentoring junior developers.
This is a long-term contract opportunity with compensation paid in USD on a monthly schedule.

Requirements:

Mandatory requirements include 5+ years of backend development experience with Python and Dart.
Proficiency with web frameworks such as Django or Flask, and Flutter and/or FlutterFlow is required.
Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs is necessary.
Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB is essential.
Experience integrating with LLMs is required.
Familiarity with microservices architectures and containers, specifically Docker, is necessary.
Strong knowledge in SQL is required.
Good experience with Lambda functions is necessary.
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, while English is optional.
Desired qualifications include experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure), knowledge of CI/CD and agile methodologies, familiarity with frontend technologies (JavaScript, React), and experience with automated testing and TDD.
