Description:

As a Machine Learning Engineer II, you will architect and implement platforms for Axon scientists to enhance public safety.
Collaborate with engineers to enable new AI capabilities for Axon products such as Fleet, Axon Body, and Axon Air.
Support the training, evaluation, testing, and deployment of machine learning models across various domains including computer vision, speech recognition, and natural language understanding.
Architect solutions for distributed model training and evaluation, optimizing processes for continuous model improvement.
Develop state-of-the-art solutions for privacy-preserving distributed model training to influence the AI community.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field is required.
A minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in training machine learning models.
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch is essential.
Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one cloud environment (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud) and Infrastructure as Code for deploying platforms at scale.
Experience with CI/CD solutions in MLOps, including automation with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., using Terraform).
Excellent problem-solving and software design skills are necessary.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with scientists, engineers, and ML/product managers.
