Constructor.io is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer for their Recommendations team, which is crucial in optimizing algorithms for business KPIs like revenue and conversions.
The team consists of designers, full-stack, and machine learning engineers who collaborate on multiple projects.
The role involves creating a personalized recommendation system capable of handling over 100 million requests per day.
Responsibilities include designing and delivering new recommendation features, improving business KPIs through hypothesis validation, and participating in strategic planning sessions.
The engineer will collaborate with both technical and non-technical partners to develop analytical dashboards that showcase the impact of recommendations.

Requirements:

A strong knowledge of machine learning fundamentals is required.
Proficiency in Python and any variant of SQL, along with familiarity with big data technologies like Spark, Presto/Athena, and Hive is essential.
Experience in delivering production ML systems and conducting A/B tests to validate their effectiveness is necessary.
Excellent English communication skills are required.
A passion for helping others grow and succeed as developers is important.
A data-driven mindset with a focus on experimentation and customer feedback is essential.
Strong strategic planning and prioritization skills are required.
Continuous learning and keeping up with recent advancements in AI and ML is expected.
Experience with building recommendation or ranking systems, high-load real-time ML systems, server-side coding for web services, and understanding API design principles is a plus.
Familiarity with NoSQL, distributed systems, and caching solutions is also advantageous.
