Remote Machine Learning Scientist

Description:

• Qarik is an IT Solutions company co-founded by Google Cloud Engineering leaders, focusing on the Google Cloud Platform.

• The role involves building Generative AI applications for document summarization, classification, and question-and-answer using both unstructured and structured data.
• The team collaborates with companies of all sizes, from startups to Fortune 100 companies, to push the limits of what is possible.
• Responsibilities include developing applications on Google Cloud, understanding customer requirements, suggesting new ideas and features, improving products, and implementing new functionalities with a focus on quality.
• The position requires hands-on experience in designing and implementing applications using Large Language Models (LLM), specifically in Python programming, Google VertexAI, Tensorflow or PyTorch, and AutoML.
• Experience in classic Machine Learning frameworks, neural net models development, training, tuning, and serving is also required.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Required hands-on experience in Python programming and designing applications using Large Language Models (LLM).
• Familiarity with Google VertexAI, Tensorflow or PyTorch, and AutoML is necessary.
• Experience in classic Machine Learning frameworks, including neural net models development, training, tuning, and serving is essential.
• Additional experience in shell scripting, MLOps (ideally on GCP), and data engineering (including SQL) is ideal.
• The candidate should possess strong ethics, technical aptitude, and an engineering mindset or developer background.
• A strong sense of ownership, teamwork, curiosity, and excellent communication skills are important personal attributes.
• The position is open to candidates in Pittsburgh, Detroit, New York, Chicago, or any location (including outside of the US) as long as they are willing to overlap with US East Coast morning hours.
