Description:

  • Excella is seeking a Managing Consultant Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable and innovative data architectures.
  • The role involves serving as a technical authority, providing strategic guidance and mentoring to teams while delivering enterprise-level data solutions.
  • Responsibilities include architecting enterprise-grade solutions, leading strategic initiatives, delivering complex data pipelines, fostering innovation, mentoring teams, engaging stakeholders, championing Agile best practices, establishing data governance, and assessing risks.
  • The position requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical strategies.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 12+ years of professional experience in data engineering or similar technical roles, with a proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of data lake and data warehouse architectures, particularly cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP, is essential.
  • Expertise in modern data modeling approaches, including schema-less designs and automated ETL/ELT workflows with real-time processing is required.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala is necessary.
  • Extensive experience with streaming technologies like Kafka, Spark Streaming, and Flink is expected.
  • Strong expertise in metadata management, data cataloging, and search frameworks is required to enhance data discoverability.
  • Candidates should have proficiency in working with in-memory databases, graph databases, and developing Data-as-a-Service platforms.
  • Leadership skills are crucial, including a track record of leading cross-functional teams and mentoring engineers.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic vision are necessary to abstract complex business problems into actionable technical solutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required to present complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
