Description:

  • As a D365 F&O Technical Solutions Architect, you will act as the Technical Solution Architect (TSA) on projects implementing solutions with D365 F&O as their cornerstone.
  • You will perform a technical solution advisory role during the analysis phase, ensuring that solution components are planned and deployed appropriately, that solution development follows best practices, and that solution integrations are implemented via the appropriate patterns.
  • You will lead project technical workstreams and manage technical resources contributing to your projects.
  • You will facilitate or effectively delegate technical planning sessions, design sessions, and workshops.
  • You will own the technical sections of the Solution Blueprint Document, which describes key technical aspects of solution software and hardware components, high-level technical approaches for key extensions/customizations, and key requirements for solution integrations and planned implementation patterns.
  • You will contribute to the functional design process, collaborating with project contributors to understand the business requirements driving the functional design, performing or delegating research of source code behind solution gaps, advising and researching integration possibilities, and seeking opportunities to modify a functional design that simplifies the requisite development work.
  • You will convert or effectively delegate functional designs into technical design documents (TDD) confirming technical solution consistency, best practices, and business requirements.
  • You will oversee D365 F&O solution technical configuration project development tasks, such as extensions, customizations, and integrations, seeking delegation opportunities but implementing solution extensions as needed.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • You must have 5+ years of experience in x++ development.
  • You should have 7+ years of full life cycle implementation experience with D365 F&O (and prior versions).
  • A minimum of 10+ years of technical experience with related technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft .NET, Active Directory, Data Migration Framework (DMF), and Azure DevOps is necessary.
  • Experience delivering major upgrades of AX 2009 and AX 2012 to Dynamics 365 FO is required.
  • You should possess specific knowledge of core D365 F&O development tools, including X++, C#, and experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) within D365 F&O.
  • Knowledge of related technologies and platforms, including Power Platform and Dataverse, is essential.
  • You must have specific knowledge and experience architecting and delivering integrations via Azure Integration Services, Dynamics Dual Write, Business events, and Dynamics 365 F&O integration capabilities.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and interfacing with functional team members to translate these requirements into deliverables is required.
  • You should demonstrate the ability to deliver configuration/advanced customizations, client-side enhancements, integrations, and programming in D365 Solution.
  • The ability to triage and fix bugs/issues and utilize Microsoft-provided technical resources is necessary.
  • Previous experience working within a structured implementation environment with structured development methodologies and standards is required; familiarity with Agile Methodology is a plus.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with D365 F&O Workflow is preferred.
