Description:

  • Gympass is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer for their Retention team in Brazil.
  • The Retention team's mission is to reduce churn by recommending partners and apps, assisting users with their plans, and showcasing Gympass's value.
  • The role involves participating in architectural decisions, suggesting improvements, and ensuring design documentation is up to date.
  • Responsibilities include collaborating with product teams, owning key features, and contributing to architectural decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with microservices, distributed systems, Node.js, and RESTful APIs written in NestJS.
  • Proficiency in asynchronous processing, data pipelines, event-driven architectures, and serverless architectures.
  • Familiarity with monitoring, observability, KPI tracking, software quality, test automation, cloud computing (AWS), and Cloud Native (K8s).
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL technologies like PostgreSQL and Redis.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese.
