Description:

  • Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Mid-level Backend Software Engineer for the Search & Discovery team in Brazil.
  • The Discovery Team focuses on providing exploration and discovery services for Wellhub’s end-users to help them find suitable wellbeing partners.
  • Responsibilities include building scalable architectures, writing clean code, developing software services for search and recommendation, collaborating with other engineers, ensuring project delivery, analyzing user data, integrating with third-party tools, and contributing to the product development process.
  • The role emphasizes promoting wellbeing in the workplace and creating a supportive environment for self-care and work-life balance.

Requirements:

  • A B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Candidates should have experience in developing complex modern web services and applying computer science fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in at least two programming languages like Java, Python, or Go is necessary.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, SQL, NoSQL technologies, and strong communication skills in English and Portuguese are essential.
  • Nice to have: interest in learning other coding languages, familiarity with machine learning concepts, and experience in Information Retrieval, Recommendation Systems, or Natural Language Processing.
