Remote Mid-level Frontend Engineer (Klak)

Description:

• Klak is a centralized platform designed for African businesses to manage cash flow and automate financial operations efficiently.
• The Mid-level Frontend Engineer will be responsible for developing modern front-end web applications and integrating them with back-end services.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automating and streamlining financial operations for African businesses is a key aspect of the role.
• Responsibilities include translating UI/UX designs into code, utilizing modern JavaScript (React, Next.js), writing clean and modular code, handling data via AJAX and JSON, using GIT for version control, prototyping experiences with Bootstrap, building functional cross-browser JavaScript, and resolving code issues effectively.
• The position also involves staging work on leading cloud providers (GCP) for review and feedback.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a cross-discipline agile environment to build SaaS products.
• Collaboration with a team to develop large front-end web applications that perform well on all devices using modern languages, libraries, and frameworks.
• Minimum of 3 years of continuous experience as a Front-end developer.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, working with REST APIs, modern web stacks, semantic HTML/CSS, and JavaScript (Next JS).
• Ability to write and maintain unit and integration tests, understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms like LESS and SASS.
• Experience working on a 100% remote team is a plus.
