The Platform Operations Data Analyst will be responsible for executing and improving operations in wholesale electricity markets from a technical, data-driven perspective.
This role involves managing day-to-day interval data operations and requires a strong technical background with attention to detail.
The analyst will support the implementation of strategies for participation in various Leap programs across multiple markets including NYISO, ERCOT, CAISO, ISO-NE, and PJM.
Responsibilities include monitoring partner and utility-provided meter data, overseeing data submissions, troubleshooting issues, analyzing energy market data, and developing automated monitoring processes using Python and SQL.
The role also involves collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to build scalable solutions and documentation efforts for key processes.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in a technical role related to data analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence.
A strong interest in building complex processes and improving operations is essential.
Attention to detail and the ability to cross-reference work for accuracy is required.
Experience in owning regular reporting processes and a commitment to reducing operational risk is necessary.
At least 2 years of SQL experience and a desire to enhance technical skills in SQL is required.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of exposure to an object-oriented programming language such as Python, R, or Matlab, with an interest in developing Python skills.
Strong familiarity with spreadsheets like Gsheets or Excel is needed.
The ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team while also driving work independently is important.
Experience in prioritizing and executing tasks in a fast-paced environment is required.
Candidates should have experience working in a remote or hybrid environment and demonstrate effective time management and productivity.
Experience in distributed teams and using remote communication tools such as Slack, Zoom, and ClickUp is necessary.
