Description:
The Principal Consultant - Security is a senior-level engineering role responsible for leading large and complex projects that span multiple disciplines.
This position involves working with clients, product manufacturers, contractors, and other design team members to take projects from start to finish with limited direction.
The role requires providing detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, and report information to clients, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
The Principal Consultant is expected to delegate work effectively, promote teamwork, mentor less senior staff, and develop relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
Participation in the in-house training program is required, including mentoring junior designers and developing new course content.
The individual must represent TEECOM values, deploy technical expertise, solicit client feedback, and develop business opportunities.
Essential duties include leading fee development, conducting client meetings, managing project documentation, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Requirements:
A BS in Engineering (electrical preferred) or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of eight years of experience in discipline design for facilities construction projects is necessary.
Proficiency in Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit), Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and G Suite is essential.
Certifications such as PSP and/or CPP are preferred, with CDCDP or DCDC being a plus.
Strong organizational, documentation, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and negotiation skills are required.
The candidate must demonstrate emotional intelligence and the ability to mentor and manage staff in a deadline-driven environment.
Experience in the AEC industry and knowledge of technology systems design is crucial.
