Description:
TEECOM is a consulting engineering firm focused on technology in buildings, seeking a Principal Consultant - Security for remote work in the United States.
The role involves leading large, complex projects across multiple disciplines with minimal direction, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities include providing detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, and client reporting.
The Principal Consultant will delegate work, promote teamwork, mentor junior staff, and develop client relationships for repeat business.
Participation in TEECOMuniversity training programs is expected, including mentoring junior designers and developing course content.
The individual will represent TEECOM's values, deploy technical expertise, solicit client feedback, and develop business opportunities.
Essential duties include leading fee development, client negotiations, project coordination, and managing client relationships.
Requirements:
A BS in Engineering (electrical preferred) or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of eight years of design experience in physical or electronic security for facilities construction projects is necessary.
Proficiency in Autodesk (AutoCAD, Revit), Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and G Suite is required.
Certifications such as CPP or PSP are preferred, with PE and PMP being a plus.
Strong organizational, documentation, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and negotiation skills are essential.
The candidate must demonstrate emotional intelligence and the ability to mentor and manage staff in a deadline-driven environment.
Experience with large and complex construction projects involving multiple disciplines is required.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.
