Remote Principal Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Description:

• As a Principal Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure at Pinata, you will play a critical role in developing and enhancing the platform by working across the stack to deliver high-quality, scalable features.
• You will collaborate with the Engineering team, Product team, and leadership, reporting directly to the VP of Product.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable, secure cloud architectures, utilizing infrastructure as code tools, writing API code, maintaining high engineering standards, and contributing to technical decisions.
• You will work autonomously, collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, stay updated on emerging technologies, and respond to production incidents.
• The role requires expertise in infrastructure as code tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation, proficiency in Golang, Java, and JavaScript, and knowledge of modern development practices and startup dynamics.

Requirements:

• Expertise with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong technical background with proficiency in Golang, Java, and JavaScript.
• Experience working in Seed or Series A startups and familiarity with early-stage venture challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to learn by doing, problem-solving skills, and effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of modern development practices, architectural patterns, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
