Remote Principal Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

Description:

• As a Principal Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure at Pinata, you will play a critical role in developing and enhancing the platform by working across the stack to deliver high-quality, scalable features.
• Reporting directly to the VP of Product, you will collaborate with the Engineering team, Product team, and leadership to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable, secure cloud architectures, utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, writing API code, maintaining high engineering standards, working autonomously on projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to technical decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and staying updated on emerging technologies.

Requirements:

• Expertise with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong technical background in Golang, Java, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of modern development practices and architectural patterns.
• Experience working in Seed or Series A startups, demonstrating the ability to learn by doing and solve problems efficiently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working well in a team environment and individually.
