Remote Principal Engineer (Remote, select U.S. states)

Description:

• The Principal Engineer position at Coforma involves serving as a technical lead for a cross-functional project team and being part of the engineering department leadership.
• Responsibilities include prioritizing the care and development of direct reports, writing and reviewing code, solving problems across the tech stack, mentoring other engineers, and collaborating with team members and stakeholders to build technology products.

• Preferred qualifications include 8+ years of experience in building applications, working with modern frameworks and libraries, APIs and databases, infrastructure tools, CI/CD tools, and cloud platforms, as well as experience managing direct reports and teams in complex ecosystems.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in open-source programming languages like JavaScript/TypeScript, Ruby, Python, Java, etc.
• Experience with frameworks, libraries, or runtimes such as React, Rails, Node, Next, Angular, Spring, etc.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Testing Library, Mocha, Playwright, Cypress, etc.
• Knowledge of leveraging the command line via shell scripting, APIs, databases, infrastructure tools, CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, and Agile and Scrum methodologies.
