Description:
Protegrity is seeking a passionate and talented Principal Software Engineer to join the R&D DevOps Team in a remote role.
The position involves designing and developing the build, release, and deploy toolchain for DevOps.
Responsibilities include developing and rolling out DevOps platforms and practices using CI/CD and IaC tools like Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, and Chef.
The individual will design, develop, test, and maintain DevOps systems on cloud platforms while managing cloud costs on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
The role requires architecting, designing, deploying, maintaining, and monitoring infrastructure for continuous integration tools and frameworks.
Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is essential, along with a deep understanding of orchestration and microservices architecture.
The candidate will conduct vulnerability scanning and impact analysis, implementing remediation plans as necessary.
A sound understanding of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) processes is required to derive KPIs for performance improvement.
The Principal Software Engineer will act as a technical advisor, regularly interacting with stakeholders and engineering leadership.
Excellent team player and mentoring skills are necessary, with a track record of guiding cross-functional teams to achieve DevOps automation goals.
Requirements:
A BE/ME/MCA or any other degree in a related field is required.
The candidate must have 12+ years of relevant DevOps experience.
Expertise in DevOps for cloud-based applications is essential.
Practical experience in building, designing, and maintaining cloud-based applications with AWS, Azure, and GCP is required.
Strong hands-on experience with various DevOps concepts and tools like Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD), Git, Jenkins, and SonarQube is necessary.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Chef is required.
Hands-on experience with container and container orchestration tools like Docker, AWS ECS, and Kubernetes is essential.
Strong knowledge of Shell Scripting or programming languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, or Java is required.
Experience in infrastructure management and orchestration using tools like Prometheus and Grafana is necessary.
The candidate should have experience working on Linux-based infrastructure.
Knowledge of Data Protection, Privacy, and Security domains is required.
Familiarity with databases and SQL is necessary.
Understanding of agile methodologies and principles is essential.
