Description:

  • Protegrity is seeking a passionate and talented Principal Software Engineer to join the R&D DevOps Team in a remote role.
  • The position involves designing and developing the build, release, and deploy toolchain for DevOps.
  • Responsibilities include developing and rolling out DevOps platforms and practices using CI/CD and IaC tools like Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, and Chef.
  • The individual will design, develop, test, and maintain DevOps systems on cloud platforms while managing cloud costs on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • The role requires architecting, designing, deploying, maintaining, and monitoring infrastructure for continuous integration tools and frameworks.
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is essential, along with a deep understanding of orchestration and microservices architecture.
  • The candidate will conduct vulnerability scanning and impact analysis, implementing remediation plans as necessary.
  • A sound understanding of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) processes is required to derive KPIs for performance improvement.
  • The Principal Software Engineer will act as a technical advisor, regularly interacting with stakeholders and engineering leadership.
  • Excellent team player and mentoring skills are necessary, with a track record of guiding cross-functional teams to achieve DevOps automation goals.

Requirements:

  • A BE/ME/MCA or any other degree in a related field is required.
  • The candidate must have 12+ years of relevant DevOps experience.
  • Expertise in DevOps for cloud-based applications is essential.
  • Practical experience in building, designing, and maintaining cloud-based applications with AWS, Azure, and GCP is required.
  • Strong hands-on experience with various DevOps concepts and tools like Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD), Git, Jenkins, and SonarQube is necessary.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Chef is required.
  • Hands-on experience with container and container orchestration tools like Docker, AWS ECS, and Kubernetes is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Shell Scripting or programming languages such as Bash, Python, Ruby, or Java is required.
  • Experience in infrastructure management and orchestration using tools like Prometheus and Grafana is necessary.
  • The candidate should have experience working on Linux-based infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection, Privacy, and Security domains is required.
  • Familiarity with databases and SQL is necessary.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and principles is essential.
