Remote Principal Software Engineer, Nifty Gateway

Description:

• The Principal Software Engineer at Nifty Gateway will be responsible for defining technical direction, mentoring teammates, and addressing complex system and architectural challenges.
• They will collaborate with other Principal Engineers to establish the appropriate software architecture for Nifty Gateway.
• Design, implement, deploy, and maintain services supporting multiple engineering teams.
• Advocate and demonstrate technical and operational excellence within the organization.
• Drive significant cross-group technical initiatives and set long-term technical strategies.
• Review and provide feedback on technical design documents and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality.

Requirements:

• 8-10 years of software development experience, with a focus on Python (Django framework with DRF for API).
• 5 years of in-depth experience with distributed systems or cloud computing, particularly using AWS native technologies and Docker.
• Significant expertise in configuration management and infrastructure as code, often utilizing Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience in building and managing low-latency, high-availability critical systems or cloud-based services.
• Proficiency in defining, managing, and executing a portfolio of complex engineering projects.
