Description:
- The Principal SRE will drive the overall SRE short, medium, and long-term strategy, collaborating with related functions and individuals to develop plans and roadmaps for the growth of the SRE function at Tyk.
- Responsibilities include creating operational growth and scaling plans with the Head of Delivery, leading the operational direction of the SRE team, driving automation initiatives, ensuring SRE performance through clear agreements and development plans, building a security-first mindset, designing and optimizing the on-call process, owning the risk profile for Cloud performance, monitoring the production Cloud environment, owning proactive alerting and monitoring strategies, measuring and optimizing system performance, driving the automation agenda, ensuring documentation of operational processes, managing call support proposition, planning and executing software upgrades, and adhering to Scrum principles.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of SDLC
- Deep understanding of operability
- Good working knowledge of best security practices and protocols
- Experience in team leadership and development
- Familiarity with site reliability engineering
- Ability to derive strategies from data and focus on continuous improvement
