Description:
The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Ethereum.
The mission of the EF is to ensure the long-term success of Ethereum by allocating resources to critical projects and advocating for Ethereum.
The EF is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative security engineer to help secure the Ethereum protocol.
The role involves working in an open-source environment, requiring comfort with public communication channels.
The work environment is fast-paced, constantly evolving, and may shift in response to changing priorities.
Candidates should be self-motivated and comfortable working asynchronously in a flat organizational structure.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of cybersecurity experience and experience in manually auditing applications written in Go, Rust, Java, C#, or Nim, or a track record of writing fuzzers.
Responsibilities include manually auditing the Ethereum software stack, writing fuzzers for the Ethereum protocol’s p2p networking layer, conducting security research, and collaborating with various teams to minimize security risks.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of cybersecurity experience.
Experience in manually auditing applications written in Go, Rust, Java, C#, or Nim is required.
A track record of writing fuzzers is preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable working in an open-source environment and communicating in publicly accessible channels.
Self-motivation and the ability to work asynchronously are essential.
Candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
