Remote Python Backend Engineer

Description:

• RYZ Labs is seeking a Back End Engineer responsible for building consumer applications using the latest technologies and best practices.
• The role involves technical problem solving, creatively meeting product objectives, and developing best practices.
• The engineer will demonstrate cross-functional resource interaction to accomplish goals.
• The position is remote and part of a full-time contract.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional non-internship programming experience with Python.
• Experience using Flask or FastAPI is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience) is necessary.
• Professional experience in software design and implementation is essential.
• Candidates should have experience building dynamic web applications and the APIs that power them.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations are preferred.
• The ability to work independently with little supervision and successfully resolve ambiguity is important.
• A willingness to learn and be open-minded to new ideas and different opinions is desired.
• Well-rounded engineering skills, including full-stack development experience (web + services), are preferred.
• Experience with architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new systems is a plus.
• Strong data-oriented skills with knowledge of Core Data and data structures are required.
• Prior use of AWS technologies at scale in a production environment is preferred.
