Description:

The position is for a Python Tech Lead based in LATAM, specifically in Colombia, Peru, or Argentina.
The role involves working on Crescendo, a core tool for Re:Sound, which consolidates and de-duplicates recording metadata and rights holder information from multiple Canadian societies.
The work will directly support Harmony, the software that utilizes Crescendo’s clean data for royalty payouts to artists and labels.
Candidates should have strong Python skills and experience in leading projects or teams.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable making technical decisions, mentoring others, and owning outcomes.
Experience with Django or MongoDB is required, and a background in music tech or data-heavy products is preferred.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of experience as a software developer.
A strong working knowledge of Python is essential.
Candidates should possess strong knowledge of MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
Experience in designing distributed systems, queues, and caches is required.
Strong knowledge of UNIX is necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required; Spanish is a plus.
Candidates should have an interest in understanding the music industry through data.
The ability to mentor and help less experienced colleagues grow is important.
Proactive individuals who can identify areas for improvement and scale systems are preferred.
