DoraHacks is seeking a Research Engineer for its BUIDL AI initiative, focusing on hands-on engineering and cutting-edge research.
The role involves collaborating with a global team to design, build, and scale AI-driven solutions that support the hacker community and enhance open-source ecosystems.
Key responsibilities include conducting applied research in AI and machine learning, designing and deploying scalable AI systems, collaborating with engineers and product teams, exploring industry trends, contributing to open-source projects, and optimizing AI solutions.

Requirements:

Candidates should have an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in fields such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, or other STEM disciplines.
Strong programming skills in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks are required, along with familiarity with AI development tools and databases.
Experience with AI/ML model development and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is a plus.
Proven ability to bridge theoretical research with practical engineering is essential, demonstrated through projects or open-source contributions.
Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and communication in diverse teams.
Bonus skills include experience with blockchain/Web3 technologies, contributions to open-source communities, and familiarity with DoraHacks’ platforms.
