Description:
Mysten Labs is creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.
Research internships provide a dynamic environment for research careers alongside industry-leading scientists and engineers.
Researchers and engineers at Mysten Labs pursue innovation in various scientific and technical disciplines to solve complex challenges across the entire stack, including networking, systems, cryptography, and consensus protocols.
The company is searching for Ph.D. students with a strong research background and an interest in blockchain technology.
Areas of research interest include distributed and concurrent systems, cryptography, security, distributed computing, incentives, and mechanism design.
Research internships are available in all areas of research and are offered year-round, starting in the Summer of 2025.
Interns will pursue applied and fundamental research, work with the engineering team on technical research problems, and contribute to academic publications and blog posts.
Requirements:
Candidates must be enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Computer Science or a related technical field.
A strong understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of secure distributed systems and/or cryptography is required.
Candidates should have a passion for participating in the next generation of Web3 technology.
Experience as a technical writer and familiarity with publishing in peer-reviewed conferences and journals is necessary.
