The Incubation team focuses on blockchain innovation, responsible for identifying and prototyping new ideas for Polkadot under Dr. Gavin Wood's leadership.
The position involves conducting innovative research in Web3 and blockchain technology, particularly on Layer 2 scalability solutions.
Responsibilities include analyzing and comparing scalability solutions, developing blockchain applications and prototypes using Rust, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to apply research findings.
Staying updated with advancements in scalability solutions across different runtime environments is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of research and software development experience.
Proficiency in Rust, cryptography, and low-level networking is required.
Hands-on experience with implementing and maintaining distributed databases and systems is essential.
In-depth knowledge of software engineering best practices is necessary.
The ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment is a must.
