Description:

  • The Sales Engineer - Partners (APJ) role at Ping Identity involves working closely with a partner team to engage in customer-oriented meetings, demonstrations, and proofs of concept to showcase the business and technical value of Ping Identity solutions.
  • The position requires fostering relationships with delivery partners, providing technical guidance, and supporting partner teams in active engagements with prospects and customers.
  • The Sales Engineer will collaborate with the Field SE team, contribute to broader opportunities, and participate in partner technical learning events across supported sales regions.
  • Responsibilities also include identifying gaps in partner enablement, creating plans to close those gaps, and enabling partners to achieve customer wins during key sales cycle phases.
  • The ideal candidate should have experience in customer-facing professional services or presales positions, possess strong system integrator industry knowledge, and demonstrate the ability to innovate through the development of mobile and web applications.
  • Skills required include strong communication, self-direction, scripting languages proficiency, experience with IAM solutions, and knowledge of IAM-related protocols and formats.
  • The role may involve travel up to 30% of the time.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years in customer-facing professional services or presales positions.
  • Strong base of system integrator industry knowledge.
  • Ability to develop and nurture relationships with System Integrators and Ping Identity Partner teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competency with scripting languages, RESTful Web Services, and web development frameworks.
  • Experience working with IAM solutions in or with enterprise organizations.
  • Working knowledge of IAM-related protocols and formats.
  • General networking concepts and technologies.
  • Cloud Platforms experience - AWS, GCP, or Azure.
