Description:

The position is for an SC Cleared Senior DevOps Engineer located in the UK, with remote work options available.
The contract duration is 6 months, and candidates must have active SC clearance and be UK Nationals (dual nationality not accepted).
Candidates must have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years.
The role involves providing technical support and leadership in creating and delivering technology solutions to meet customer business needs.
Responsibilities include managing cloud computing infrastructure, conducting investigations and tests of complex software systems, and enhancing performance.
The engineer will review the completion and implementation of technical products, evaluate vendor capabilities, and provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel.

Requirements:

Candidates must have actively used Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and AWS in the last 2 years.
A background in automating application deployment and configuration management is required.
Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as RedHat, Puppet, Chef, and Ansible is necessary.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) technologies like CloudFormation or Terraform is essential.
Strong Linux Sysadmin skills are required.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes, is needed.
Good knowledge of internet communication concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP, is required.
Experience in deploying Continuous Integration solutions is necessary.
An awareness of security considerations in web application deployment is essential.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana is required.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, EKS, RDS, Aurora, networking, and cost management, is necessary.
