Remote SC Cleared Devops Engineer

Description:

• The position is for a Senior DevOps Engineer located in the UK, offering remote work for a duration of 6 months.
• Candidates must have active SC clearance and be UK Nationals, with no dual nationality accepted, and must have lived in the UK continuously for the last 5 years.
• The DevOps Engineer will provide technical support and leadership in creating and delivering technology solutions to meet customer business needs.
• Responsibilities include conducting investigations and tests of complex software systems, reviewing technical product implementation, evaluating vendor capabilities, providing leadership to less experienced personnel, and offering technical consultation to other organizations.
• The role requires providing first-level support to the customer base.
• Candidates must have actively used Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and AWS in the last 2 years, along with a background in automating application deployment and configuration management.
• Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as RedHat, Puppet, Chef, and Ansible is necessary.
• Strong Linux Sysadmin skills and knowledge of IAC technologies like CloudFormation or Terraform are required.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker & Kubernetes) is essential.
• Candidates should have a good understanding of internet communication concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and experience deploying Continuous Integration solutions.
• Awareness of security considerations in web application deployment and experience with monitoring/logging tools (ELK, Prometheus/Grafana) is important.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EKS, RDS, Aurora) including networking and cost management is required.

Requirements:
