Description:
Kraken Technologies is seeking mid-level or senior engineers to join their team as a Security Engineer.
The role involves maintaining security logging, monitoring, and alerting processes and tooling.
Responsibilities include responding to security alerts, improving detections, and reducing false positives.
The Security Engineer will operate security tooling in line with best practices and internal requirements.
They will assist TechOps and other teams in maintaining services with good security practices.
In addition, the role involves supporting security incident response, remediation, and root cause analysis.
The Security Engineer will help manage AWS native security services and participate in the company's information security program.
Collaboration with various teams and staying updated on emerging security threats and technologies is also part of the role.
Requirements:
Strong background in information security and technology with an understanding of security best practices and standards.
Previous experience in working in security teams maintaining and improving security logging, monitoring, and alerting.
Experience in managing security tooling inline with best practices, including endpoint security, email security, SIEM, SOAR systems, and vulnerability management tooling.
Security certifications, cloud providers' certifications, security qualifications, and skills in creating comprehensive security documentation are beneficial.
Familiarity with AWS services, experience in managing cloud security services, and knowledge of information security standards such as ISO 27001.
Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework is also required.
