Remote Security Engineer (m/w/d)

Description:

• Kraken Technologies is seeking experienced Senior Security Engineers to join their growing Cyber Security Team.
• The role involves securing software development processes, platform services, and integrating security practices within an AWS-focused, agile engineering organization.
• Responsibilities include building and maintaining security tooling and infrastructure, responding to security incidents, and collaborating with platform and application teams to ensure security.
• The engineer will develop secure coding practices, provide guidance on application security, and maintain security documentation.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 4 years of relevant experience in security engineering.
• A strong background in information security and technology is essential.
• Applicants should possess a solid understanding of web application security concepts, including OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.
• Experience with security tools such as web application firewalls, SAST/DAST tools, and vulnerability scanners is required.
• Good AWS experience is necessary, along with familiarity with AWS security services or a willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of industry security standards like ISO 27001, SOC2, and GDPR is important.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Some experience in software development or Cloud Engineering is preferred, demonstrating a foundation in security best practices.
