Description:
The Security Identity Engineer will lead security identity management and compliance efforts by implementing repeatable and consistent processes.
The role offers opportunities to set direction and build from scratch in a startup environment.
Key responsibilities include driving identity and access management, enforcing SOC 2 Type II compliance, and leading compliance projects.
The engineer will perform day-to-day operational security activities and educate the organization on security best practices.
Collaboration with software engineers is essential to proactively identify and fix compliance issues.
The role involves designing access architectures for internal products and conducting access reviews of core corporate and production infrastructure.
The engineer will engineer solutions to ensure IAM solutions meet defined processes and comply with information security requirements.
Responsibilities also include integrating IAM systems with in-house and third-party applications, managing workflows within IAM, and providing advice on IAM-related settings and policies.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 8+ years of relevant Security Engineering and/or Identity and Access Management experience.
A proven track record of successful IAM implementations and support of those applications is necessary.
Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to weigh costs and benefits of potential actions are essential.
Candidates should be thorough, detail-oriented, and quality-driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant industry training and/or certification is preferred.
The ability to deliver quality results in a high-energy/high-pressure environment is required.
Candidates must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
Extensive experience with the design and configuration of Third Party integrations leveraging SAML is necessary.
Experience with SOC 2 controls process and other standards like ISO, NIST, PCI, and HIPAA is required.
Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations like GDPR and CCPA, along with experience in compliance automation, is essential.
Operational experience in designing and implementing access architectures is required.
Tooling experience with Okta, Google Workspace, and enterprise Identity Management solutions (e.g., CyberArk) is necessary.
Change management experience and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
