Description:

Magic Eden is seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join their growing security team.
The role involves embedding security into development processes and ensuring that services are designed and implemented to high security standards.
Responsibilities include conducting design reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews for new features and products.
The engineer will identify gaps in the software development process and lead efforts to address them.
Educating and training engineering teams on secure coding best practices is a key responsibility.
The engineer will investigate vulnerabilities reported via the bug bounty platform, determining their root cause and severity.
Documenting identified vulnerabilities clearly to enable quick action by the engineering team is also required.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of experience building and securing software.
A strong understanding of security risks, vulnerabilities, and concepts in web and mobile applications is essential.
Proficiency in TypeScript, Rust, and iOS/Android application development is required.
Proven experience in security design reviews, threat modeling, or security testing is necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
