Description:

LeoTech is seeking a Senior Back End Engineer to join their Core Application team in Irvine, CA, with options for remote work.
The role involves architecting, building, and maintaining mission-critical backend services that provide users with actionable insights from unique datasets.
Responsibilities include creating new solutions as the product grows, addressing non-trivial search/data-mining needs, and solving multi-tenancy challenges related to customer data.
The engineer will participate in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle, including idea generation, planning, design, prototyping, execution, shipping, and iteration.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a strong engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Mathematics.
A minimum of 6+ years of back-end development experience is required, with a solid understanding of data structures, distributed systems, and system design.
A good understanding of how technical decisions impact end-users is essential.
Proficiency in system design and experience running server-less workloads at scale is necessary.
Candidates should be proficient in programming languages such as Elixir, Java, C++, Go, or similar languages.
Experience with PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and KV stores is required.
Proficiency in working with AWS Serverless workflows, including Lambdas and Step Functions, is essential.
Familiarity with streaming technologies and frameworks like Kafka or Kinesis is necessary.
Experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence is required.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with dynamic objectives and quick iterations, as well as the ability to learn continuously and work independently with minimal supervision.
