Kraken Technologies is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to help create a smart, sustainable energy system.
The company focuses on optimizing renewable generation, creating an intelligent grid, and enhancing customer experiences in the energy sector.
The role involves solving complex design challenges and technical problems related to the Spanish energy market, which is outdated and process-heavy.
The developer will work with a multi-discipline engineering team of around 500 people globally, using tools like Google Docs, Asana, GitHub, CircleCI, and Terraform Enterprise.
The technology stack includes Python, Django, Django-REST-framework, GraphQL, AWS, React, Redux, and SASS.

Requirements:

Candidates should have a general interest in technology and problem-solving, with a diligent and thoughtful approach.
Proficiency in Python and experience with Django or an equivalent web framework is essential.
Strong skills in domain modeling, HTTP, REST APIs, and writing robust, fault-tolerant software are required.
Experience with Celery, async processing, and Postgres is necessary.
Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Packer, and Consul is a bonus.
Knowledge of React and Redux would also be advantageous.
