Remote Senior Backend Engineer

Description:

• RYZ Labs is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join their team in developing and maintaining high-performance applications.
• This role will focus on building scalable, robust backend systems using TypeScript, JavaScript, and AWS.
• The candidate will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs to support internal applications.
• The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
• The developer will employ best coding, testing, and deployment practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software.
• Responsibilities include troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing performance in a production environment.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Proven experience working with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS) in a production environment is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience) is necessary.
• A solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and best practices in backend development is essential.
• Hands-on experience with API design and development for web applications is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex, ambiguous challenges are preferred.
• Candidates should be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong decision-making capabilities.
• Openness to learning and adapting to new ideas while knowing when to analyze and make decisions is important.
• Experience with full-stack development is a plus, and any projects showcasing skills are welcomed.
• Knowledge of architecture, design patterns, and scaling techniques for building robust applications is beneficial.
• Strong data-oriented skills, with an understanding of database design and data structures, are preferred.
