Description:
- As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be a key player in developing a distributed platform with a focus on high availability and scalability.
- You will utilize advanced Computer Science concepts such as algorithm and system design, cloud architecture, GenAI LLM, and applied math in your daily tasks.
- Your responsibilities will cover the entire product lifecycle, including software science, data structures & algorithms, mathematics, and AI.
- You will work in a technology-driven environment that values CD/CI, DevOps, flat hierarchy, learning opportunities, and innovation culture.
- Your code will be used in production to handle millions of requests per second with response times measured in milliseconds.
- You will mentor your team to enhance technical knowledge and participate in code reviews and analysis of ongoing issues.
- Additionally, you will drive internal proof of concept, innovation, and migration projects.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a backend developer.
- Strong knowledge of modern Javascript and NodeJS.
- Proficiency in Spanish (native level) and English (oral and written).
- Strong Linux administration skills including shell scripting, Unix tooling, and upstart.
- Familiarity with Git commands and experience working in a distributed team.
- Optional: Familiarity with Go, AWS services (EC2, S3, Route53, etc.), distributed computing tools, and SQL (GCP BigQuery dialect).
- Knowledge of computer science concepts, system administration, database concepts, various programming languages, coding best practices, and statistical/mathematical concepts.
