Description:

Olo develops an online food ordering platform used by many of the country's largest restaurant chains, reaching millions of consumers.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will architect, develop, scale, and monitor solutions, improvements, and services across the Olo Engage product suite.
The software products support brands in harnessing guest data to boost retention, lower acquisition costs, and optimize operations.
The team handles restaurant event data at the scale of billions of events per month.
You will design and build reliable but simple solutions to complex problems at scale.
You will own the code and services you deploy, observe performance, and identify emerging problems.
You will assess and resolve production incidents that arise in the components your team manages.
You will help scale the platform to the next level of growth and reliability as new enterprise clients are onboarded.
You will research and propose new technologies to apply and look for diverse perspectives to challenge assumptions.
You will provide constructive criticism to build the team's overall strength and satisfy commitments.

Requirements:

You must have 6+ years of on-the-job development experience.
You should have experience with architecting and developing end-to-end flows in a distributed/microservices application architecture.
You need to have experience writing unit tests and testable code.
A bias for working in a highly collaborative team environment is essential.
You should demonstrate empathy for customer needs and have excellent communication skills.

The estimated compensation range for this position is $125,269-$170,617 annually for a Senior I and $136,543-$185,973 annually for a Senior II, depending on experience and location.
