Remote Senior Backend Engineer (Go), Create: Remote Development

Description:

• The Senior Backend Engineer will work on the Workspaces offering, providing remote development solutions for developers to quickly set up sandboxes.
• Collaborate with experienced team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and contribute to the product roadmap.
• Responsibilities include writing high-quality code, designing and maintaining backend systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and staying updated on industry best practices.
• Mentor and support junior team members, participate in agile development practices, and drive iterative software development.
• The role involves working with Kubernetes, cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and proficiency in a backend programming language (preferably Ruby or Go).
• Communication skills are essential to clearly discuss technical problems and propose solutions effectively within a team environment.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration platforms, including building applications on top of Kubernetes and managing production-level clusters.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Deep understanding of the CNCF landscape and its components, backend programming language proficiency (preferably Ruby or Go), and familiarity with Relational Database Management Systems.
• Ability to work across the infrastructure-backend stack, self-manage in an asynchronous work environment, and communicate complex technical issues effectively.
• Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting with product managers, designers, and other engineers.
