The Senior Backend Engineer will join the Sirius team, responsible for file management challenges, including file conversions, watermarking, AI-driven document classification, and viewer experience.
The role involves optimizing existing solutions, developing new features, and supporting production environments while fostering a strong coding culture.
The team consists of 1 Senior Backend Engineer, 1 Backend Tech Lead, 1 Senior Frontend Engineer, 2 QA Engineers, an Engineering Manager, a Product Manager, and Product and Content Designers.
The tech stack includes .NET Framework 4.7, .NET 8, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Web API, MS SQL Server/PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Git.
Responsibilities include participating in all phases of the SDLC, ensuring high-quality solutions, contributing to team efforts, adhering to modern software engineering practices, and engaging in mentorship.
Requirements:
Candidates must have over 5 years of commercial experience in backend development using .NET Framework and .NET 6+.
A B2 level proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
A solid understanding of the SDLC and software design and architecture principles is necessary.
Expertise in writing unit and integration tests while ensuring best practices for testing are integrated into development phases is essential.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of API design principles, including REST and RPC, with security considerations.
Experience with relational databases, preferably MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL, is required.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, is preferred.
A product-focused approach and a strong sense of ownership for end-to-end development are essential.
A proactive attitude and a growth mindset, with a strong orientation towards self-development and continuous learning, are necessary.
