Remote Senior Backend Engineer (Pixelmon - Game Platform) at LiquidX

Description:

LiquidX Studio is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for their Pixelmon game platform, a leading NFT collection in the gaming category.
The role involves collaborating with a diverse team to develop the web3 application layer supporting the ecosystem.
Responsibilities include building IP through NFTs and Fungible Tokens, creating innovative technology products for the Pixelmon community, and integrating web3 between games and NFTs.
The position requires technical design participation, high-quality code writing in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript/TypeScript (NestJS), code reviews, cloud infrastructure setup and maintenance using AWS services, documentation contribution, and issue triaging.
Candidates without experience in Solidity and Web3 will be expected to quickly learn and apply these technologies in a production environment.

At least 4 years of software engineering experience in a product or engineering-led team.
Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript/TypeScript (NestJS).
Expertise in SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL) and proficiency in NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
Extensive experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Deep knowledge of Java testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and integration testing frameworks.
Strong understanding of backend security protocols, OAuth, and backend performance tuning.
Familiarity with Solidity, ImmutableX, and libraries like Web3.js or Ethers.js is advantageous.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and communicate technical trade-offs effectively.
