Constructor is a search and product discovery platform focused on enterprise ecommerce, aiming to enhance product discovery and personalization for shoppers.
The Recommendations team is dedicated to improving customer and end-user experiences through innovative solutions and collaboration among engineers.
The team manages multiple endpoints and cloud-deployed solutions developed in Python, utilizing NoSQL databases and interfacing with various services.
The role involves designing, delivering, and maintaining high-load real-time web services in collaboration with other engineers.
Responsibilities include building and supporting robust recommendation services, writing AWS CloudFormation scripts, setting up service observability, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
The position requires effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

A strong computer science background and familiarity with networking principles are essential.
Candidates must have experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-load real-time services.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform is required for managing cloud resources.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python is required, with additional knowledge of compiled languages like Go or Rust being a plus.
Experience in server-side coding for web services and a good understanding of API design principles are needed.
Candidates should be skilled in setting up and managing observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana, and integrating alert systems like PagerDuty.
Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture and communication protocols like protobuf is required.
Experience with NoSQL and relational databases, distributed systems, and caching solutions is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with major public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams is essential.
Excellent English communication skills are required.
