InVitro Capital is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and implement backend software solutions using Python and related technologies.
The role involves developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices.
You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
The position requires ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
Responsibilities include optimizing code for efficiency and maintainability.
You will conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.
The role also involves identifying and troubleshooting software defects and performance issues.
Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in backend engineering is essential.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, aligned with the Pacific Time Zone.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong proficiency in Python and related frameworks such as Django and Flask is necessary.
Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs is required.
A solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms is essential.
Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and query optimization is needed.
Proficient understanding of version control systems, particularly Git, is required.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential.
Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra is advantageous.
Understanding of software testing and test-driven development (TDD) principles is preferred.
