Remote Senior Backend Engineer, (Remote, Panama-Based)

Description:

• InVitro Capital is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and implement backend software solutions using Python and related technologies.
• The role involves developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices.
• You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• The position requires ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
• Responsibilities include optimizing code for efficiency and maintainability, conducting code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices, and identifying and troubleshooting software defects and performance issues.
• Staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in backend engineering is also part of the role.
• Working hours are Monday to Friday, aligned with the Pacific Time Zone.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and related frameworks such as Django and Flask is essential.
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs is required.
• A solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms is necessary.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and query optimization is required.
• Proficient understanding of version control systems, particularly Git, is necessary.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential for this position.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are required.
