The company is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to work on a critical project within the DriveShield™ team, aimed at enhancing driver safety.
The role involves building scalable and high-performance backend systems to support Jerry’s growth from 5M to 50M customers.
Responsibilities include focusing on non-functional requirements of backend applications, overseeing system design and architecture, developing and optimizing stream processing applications using Kafka and Flink, profiling application performance, collaborating with data scientists, and handling data processing and validation.

Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience.
Proficiency in at least one core programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript is required.
Expertise in Kafka, Flink, and AWS is essential.
Experience in building stream processing applications is necessary.
Knowledge in system programming is required.
Candidates should be excellent problem solvers who can work independently.
A track record of shipping products and features quickly is important.
Startup experience at a high-growth company is a plus.
Bonus points for previous knowledge of working with geospatial data.
