Description:

• The Uniswap Labs team is building products to unlock value through universal exchange, envisioning a future where digital economies flourish and markets are transparent, global, and equitable.
• The products include the Uniswap Interface, the Uniswap Mobile App, and the Uniswap Extension, all powered by the Uniswap Protocol, which is the largest on-chain marketplace with billions of dollars in weekly volume across thousands of tokens on Ethereum and 8+ additional chains.
• The team recently launched an Optimism L2 chain that they aim to scale and expand.
• The role of Senior Backend Engineer involves writing high-quality and well-tested code, reviewing code from team members, and driving strategic technical initiatives to ensure the reliability and scalability of the chain.
• Responsibilities include managing projects from gathering requirements to release management, designing and maintaining a large-scale production system on the cloud, being part of the on-call rotation, and providing guidance and technical leadership to peers.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years on EVM-related chains.
• Excellent coding skills, a deep understanding of cloud architectures, algorithms, and strong debugging capabilities are required.
• Experience in building backend systems from the ground up in a 0→1 fashion is necessary.
• A desire to keep up with modern best practices in software development/Web3 and to shape the tech stack is essential.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers is also required.
• Nice to have qualifications include experience with Optimism chains, Solidity, time-series based monitoring systems, Go/Typescript, AWS, and a love for unicorns.

Benefits:

• The minimum full-time salary for this position ranges from $210,000 to $232,000, in accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law.
• Full-time employees at Uniswap Labs are eligible for additional compensation elements, including equity, tokens, and benefits, depending on the position type.
