Remote Senior Backend Golang Developer - Philippines

Description:

• Clearstory is seeking a senior backend software developer in the Philippines to help build a world-class engineering team.
• The role involves building out a new software category within the trillion-dollar commercial construction industry.
• Developers are expected to have a hands-on approach and work collaboratively with teams from the US and around the world.
• The position requires at least 6 hours of overlap with the US/Pacific time day (12 AM - 8 AM Philippines time).
• As a senior backend Golang developer, you will work on the core feature team, reporting to the core team lead, to build customer-facing software.
• Responsibilities include maintaining shared Golang packages and working on the core API that serves web and mobile application clients.
• The role involves solving interesting technical challenges and requires problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accountability for testing work.
• The company is currently migrating a monolithic API in Node.js to a distributed service-oriented architecture in Golang.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of backend web API software development experience using Golang.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience with SQL databases, specifically MySQL and Postgres, is required.
• Experience in writing unit and integration tests is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience with async jobs and design patterns.
• Experience with Node.js is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes, Agile methodologies, and working with a team of engineers and QA resources is essential.
• Experience in an environment that meets SOC 2 Type II requirements, GDPR, and CCPA is preferred.
• Experience with Kubernetes and previous work in the commercial construction tech industry is a plus.
