Description:

  • Wellhub is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer for the Anti-fraud team in Brazil, which is part of the General Platform Services (GPS) Focus Area.
  • The role involves identifying, preventing, and removing fraudulent actors from Wellhub.
  • Responsibilities include discussing the design and building an anti-fraud system, collaborating with multiple teams and data scientists to identify fraud vectors, and creating systems that allow data scientists to develop rules and machine learning models to prevent fraud.
  • The work will directly impact the health of Wellhub's marketplace, finances, and the company's overall success.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have solid experience in the design and implementation of at least one medium-to-large-sized system in any programming language.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment is essential.
  • Candidates should be able to present their work in meetings in English or Portuguese.
  • Extensive experience with programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Node.js, or Go is required, with a preference for Go as the team uses it.
  • Experience in anti-fraud or anti-abuse systems will be considered a plus.
  • Prior experience in designing and implementing a medium/large-sized system is a mandatory requirement.
