They are expanding their remote team in the Philippines and are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer.
The role involves participating in Lean, Agile, and Scrum events, including daily standup meetings.
The engineer will monitor the Agile board for assigned tasks and collaborate closely with key team members.
Utilization of Github for version control and collaboration is required.
The engineer will initiate work on assigned tasks and complete software developments according to requirements.
Responsibilities include creating and managing pull requests for code review and actively participating in code reviews.
The engineer will address and fix bugs identified during development and develop and maintain the backend platform daily.
Implementation of software solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS is necessary.
Documentation of architecture and codebase for future reference is expected.
The engineer will work on projects involving multiple services and technologies and develop new features from concept to implementation.
Fostering collaboration and good communication within the team for efficient workflow is essential.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have at least 1 to 5 years of experience in software engineering.
Experience utilizing NodeJS and Javascript for backend development is necessary.
Knowledge of AWS native stack components such as API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, Dynamo, and RDS is required.
Familiarity with Domain Driven Design, Microservices, and RESTful APIs is essential.
The ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment is required.
Strong documentation skills and experience with tools such as Confluence, Jira, GitHub, and VSCode are necessary.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
